View Full Version : deer map
I have looked online and used the search in here, but cannot find what I am looking for. maybe i am wording it wrong. so I am asking for help on locating a map that shows how many record book bucks have come from each Michigan county, or some kind of list that shows this, and also maybe a list of who, and when the record was taken.
thanks for any help that you can give.

I don't think I've ever seen one for just Michigan, but here is a link to a BC density map for the entire U.S.:

CBM puts one out every year in their August issue of Buckfax. It shows where all the record buck entrie were taken in the previous year and a star in that county denotes a Boone and Crockett animal. You can order just that issue for...I believe $4.
Other than that, the 7th Edition of the CBM record book has all the entries dating quite a ways back....pre-1950 in some counties and depending on the entries. It's on the front page here: http://www.buckfax.com/
thanks for the help guys, I will check them out.

Going back to the 1970's, the odds of killing a B&C buck in Newaygo county appears to be around 1 in 250,000 or so.
