Going to try to get 1/2 hr or so on Newburgh tomorrow around noon. Anyone else game?

TONS of small bluegill. With mixed in crappie and the occasional bass. I have heard of pike taken from there and I know there are larger gills to be found.

Just got back, Ryan is still fishing away. Not a lot of action. Ryan managed to ice one small bluegill. Had some fish come in, but didn't seem to want to eat. Of course, now that I'm not on the ice, Ryan is going to have nonstop action. I think Bill was right about me after our last outing. :lol:

Well as soon as you left i iced another gill then about an hour later i caught a gill a FAT 7" perch and 3 more gills. I didn't get another bite for 2 hours. My dad called and said he was going to show up and as soon as he sat down we both got one bite after another until 5 when we packed up and went home. I ended the day with close 2 20 fish. Spikes out produced wax worms by a large amount.

Way to go. I nearly swung back by on my way home, but my oldest was leaving at 6 for the weekend. Decided I should see him before he left. Heading to Saginaw tomorrow on a private pond. If I can't catch fish there, I might have to give up.

My buddy and i are going out tomorrow. Not sure where but we could pair up. You and your boy in your shanty and me and my buddy in mine. My girlfriend and I are leaving right now for Willow depending on how we do we i'll be there again tomorrow.

are you guys talking about Newburgh lake off of Newburgh road... I've seen people ice fishing it, but I thought, if this is the impoundment I'm thinking, that there was a lot of ecoli in the water... What's the info?

That`s the place and you wouldn`t want to eat anything ya catch outta there. There are some nice fish in it and you can have fun with catch and release.
