we just got a new boat and want to try it out on the grand with plugs for 'eyes or whatever else will bite, and i was wondering if i could get any suggestions for rigs(eg. planer boards?) or where to put in and how to troll/work them, any help appreciated

My advice is to just get out there and do it. Hot-n-tots 1/4 - 1/2 oz are a good crankbait. Color: shine ones. It will catch all the game fish species in the river. Let out your line, tick the bottom real up a bit, and stay constant on the depth. There you have it, pluggin the river. LP
