We went out on Arnold Lake, just outside of Harrison, yesterday afternoon for about 4 hours and did pretty good. I actually caught a large mouth through the ice, thats a first for me.
We caught 3 northerns, 1 - 18", 1 - 28", and 1 - 30" on minnows. We also caught about 30 gills, 12 of which were keepers. Lots of little gills in their! I was hoping to find the crappie that are in their but no luck.

So it was a great day! :)

Never see many people fishing this little lake, summer or winter, their are few people out their. The fishing is always good, we catch lots of Pike and Bass in the summer and lots of gills and pike in the winter, so I don't know why more people don't fish it.

Did you get on at that steep ramp on the north end of the lake and how much ice? I like Cranberry lk. just past there off Fishingsite dr. right off the ramp.

No I didn't want to use the ramp, because of it being so steep, and I have a 2 wheel drive truck thats had problems getting up that incline in winter before! Their is a park at the south end of the lake, sorry cant remember the road. We just went out to wear the south weed bed starts to drop and did well. Plenty of ice, I didn't measure it but their had to be better than 8".

I didn't know there was a park on the south end, It's not on the county map but I'll sure check it out. Thanks
