Threading for stabilizer?

How is the hole for a stabilizer threaded? Strange reason I need to know.....I recently purchased a custom benchrest rifle that the previous owner had put a threaded insert in the tip of the stock and then screwed a bow stabilizer into it to add more weight to the front of the gun. I would either like to find a sling stud that has the same threading or make one up somehow.

I think they make a couple different sizes.....you might want to call a archery shop.........Mack
