I've rarely seen posts about people going out and targeting walleyes through the ice. Does anyone go out targeting walleyes? I've never tried it, but was thinking about going out after work one night and maybe jigging a pimple or a rap and seeing what I come back with. I would probably go out around the Geno's area.

Anybody have any experience with walleyes through the ice???

Yep, we have done well before in front of Ginos before, approx 3.3 miles out 2 years ago last ice midday fishing, everyone around were catching then while perch fishing. Also off 10 mile, 12mile, Masonic and 400 towers after dark 1/2 to 1 mile out. Swedish pimples, jigging raps or a treble hook/large shiner on a tip-up all produce. Al

is this during the day, or are you going out at night? I've heard of guys going out late at night and jigging for em. Thats kinda what I was interested in.

Thanks for the input!

Like I said, in front of Ginos it was a midday bite. The other spots I mentioned are after dark. Al
