I heard in close was slow but has anybody been fishing out far in the 12-14 foot were the Jumbos are yet?
If so, how thick is the ice?

A couple of my buddies were out in front of ginos last week and did OK, they were out near the pile ice maybe 3/4 of a mile out. I haven't fished there yet this year but have done really well 2 years ago. Al

Want to take a quad. That is a long walk. 2 years ago that spot was on fire.

No, they said it was quite thin(2-3 inches) before the pile ice but that was last Wednesday . The jumbos always seem to congregate by the pile ice. I will post any further reports. Al
