Noticed the mention of an ice taxi near Cotton Rd. in another post. Does anyone have any information about this? I plan on taking my wife out this weekend, and if there is any way to avoid walking out it would be great. Do you know if this taxi would mind dragging my shanty as well? Parking?

Any info is appreciated...

Yep,her name is Donna. Her house is right where you access the lake from Cotton.Four five bucks you park in the lot behind her house and for a couple more she taxis' you out on the ice.Like a huge golfcart thing and yes she will tow your shanty.Tell her to put you on some fish and she will at least get ya close, she hears reports all day.

North west corner before Cotton deadends - yellow house. Will be a sign that says parking $5. Saw the ice boat running the last time I was out there 2 wks. ago,

Sweet!...Even if I have to walk back in after dark it will be nice to give the wife an easy ride out to some fishing. Now hopefully the wind isn't too bad this weekend so I can take out my Frabill XL without any problems.

I parked at Donna's this morning and got the last spot at 8:45am. If your planning on using her taxi service this weekend you had better get there early since parking is so limited at the Cotton Rd. access.

Lots of guys out there especially up towards the old Lagos access. Most were about a 1/2 mile out. I fished both in close on the weed beds and out with the pack in deeper water and struggled to keep fish under me. One or two would come in and hit the jig and that would be it for five or ten minutes. Didn't catch a fish over eight inches. Waters gin clear and so is the ice. Some spots had as much as a foot of ice.
