Even though this happened back during bow season. I am still sick about it. I am trying to get it fixed but am having no luck.

What I got is a Browning Nitro 80. I have a broken Limb on it. I love this bow and this bow has a lot of sentilmental feelings between it and myself. If I am unable to get it fixed. I would like to at least get a string on it for looks. As I am going to get my biggest buck back from the taxidermist soon I would at least like to hang this bow with the animal it last killed. I love this bow it may not be fast it maybe outdated. But the bow fits me and is the best bow I have ever owned. Please there has to be somebody that can help me out with this. Maybe you have a Browning Nitro 80 that your not using any more and would like to sell. Or maybe your a dealer and have one you took in on trade. Or maybe your a proshop that is brave enough to put a string on this bow so it looks useable so I may hang it with its last kill before it got broken.

I dont know anything about your bow, but have you tried calling Browning to see what their warranty is on Limb Breakage. How did it break? maybe they will replace the limbs, can hurt trying.

Try posting this over at Archery Talk.com too, maybe someone can help out.

Ok it broke while hunting. How I fell on it. I already contacted browning back when this happened. They told me the bow is discountinued. They would not replace the bow either. They said that they do not have any limbs for this bow either. I found one on ebay in arizona but the guy was wanting 350 for it. That is 150 more then what I paid for this one brand new at cabelas back in 2002. It is a very basic bow but it gets the job done. The crack in the limb is where the shaft for the cam goes through the limb. It has been destrung for safety purposes. I am looking at getting it strung just for looks. So I may at least have it hang with the mount of the biggest buck and the last kill from this bow. I would love to get it fixed but I don't see that happening. I will check out archerytalk and see what I come up with thanks for your input.

No I don't think a Matthews would have lasted me as long as this browning has. It would still be useable if I didn't fall out of the tree and land on it. Needless to say I am never going to use a self climber again.

The bow is old and outdated and I could use a new one. But I think it is the emotional bond I have with this bow that is making it so hard not to give up my search to get it repaired.

I would have but, if I did I wouldn't have money to buy the arrows to hunt with, money to buy a license with, money to fill my tank up in my truck, money to outfit the bow so i could go hunting, or money to buy the other gear i need to go hunting with. But hey I would have a matthews to look at in my house wishing i still had money to go hunting with.

By the way the limbs did not break by manufacture default they broke when a 230 pound man dropped 10 feet out of a tree and landed on the bow.

it doesnt matter what manufacturer it its. After time a bow will discontinue and you wont matter who makes it. buying a mathews or a hoyt dont mean you'll have a life time of parts available. As far as warranties go! you wont find one better than PSE, Browning, A/R. Its just a matter of you have a bow that is extinct. Maybe try classifieds on archery talk. Or post WTB on there to. Maybe you can get lucky. Good Luck!!!

I bet there are current bows out there that are just as good or better than what you had . Get out there and test out a few different brands and see what you like . You have plenty of time .;)

you need to remember with new bows and latest technologies it doesn't take long to love a new bow.

your local pro shop will be able to make you a longer string to keep the bow from stressing anymore, I cracked a bow that i had killed alot of deer with so i had this done so i could hang it with the racks. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW BOW!!

Hello, I am a bowtech at Gander Mtn. If you bring the bow in we can ship it to browning and they should be able to replace the limbs for about 60-100 bucks. Just bring it in on a week day from 10am to 4:30pm Russ should be able to hook you up. That is the Grandville Gander Mtn on Canal and 44th street. If Browning doesent have the limbs we can sling a string on there so it looks like you can shoot it. Good Luck!

The limbs are obsolete...Browning doesn't make them or stock them.

Thank You Ninja, That is why I am searching for some one that has a used one, or maybe a dealer that has one hiding in the back room still. I already contacted browning. I got a pse for a replacement but I am not happy with it. But it was in the middle of bow season and it was all i could afford at the time. I will get the job done but I am not happy with it.

By the way Ninja did you get my other pm. Asking you about other bows you carry that are 31 inch draw length.

If you are just planning on displaying it. I can probably fix it for you. I can dput a pin through the limb tip, it will be similar to what bowtech used on teh 05 limbs and build a new set of strings and cables for it. Let me know. As long as you are not planning on shooting it, it will be fine. Id do it cheap. PM me if you want.

Ok I just didn't know if you got that pm, I like that Darton plus I like the fact they are made with in the state that makes it even more of a benifit. I like trying to keep money with in my area. But I also like the Bow-Tech Commander I just kinda don't like the price. I was also looking at a Hoyt, I don't know I just know I need a new bow. The Darton I was looking at was simmilar to my Browning that I broke.
