1/2" electrical conduit is all it is.
they make connectors for the conduit if you want to keep your poles short like they were. just get the female connectors and your good to go

I just got one from Shappell last week. Called on friday and had it on monday.
Does anyone know where to find the black plastic ends for the rods locally? I broke one after getting an order from Shappell.
