Went to the Sag for the evening bite. Caught this one (7.1 lb 28 in.)on a plain leadhead jig tipped w/minnow. Only one I caught. Got off the ice at @ 8pm.

not putting your fish down but 28 inchers used to run close to 9 pounds this time of the year. there must not be enough forage anymore as the fish have big heads and small bodies,compared with 5 years ago.

Thanks guys. I was pretty geeked when I saw that thing below the ice. It took everything I had not to hoot and holler! That's my first 'eye thru the ice in two years! I just may need to use up my first vac day Fri to head out again :D
