Saginaw River report

Fished 2/2 and 2/3 evening's with a bud. Friday night caught 6 eyes, with 5 being keepers. Tonight was slower, caught 3with 2 being keepers. All keepers were between 15 1/2-17 inches. Ice was 5-6 inches where we were. Jig head, minnow and a stinger is what caught all of them. Will be out Sunday a.m and p.m.

Fished Sunday also in the morning and evening. For the weekend ended up catching 17 eyes with 13 keepers. Only 4 short ones for us. Also busted about a 6 lber off at the hole last night. Seen a bunch of fish on the camera, both big and small.

Got 2 tonight with one being 16". My first keeper finally. Fished cass ave. Bay city. 7" of ice on tape measure, in 20' of water straight out from launch.

yea same, ive been catching a hole bunch with only a couple being a keeper. My bud and me have been hitting liberty for the past week about everyday. seems like mourning-midday action is a little better. i have had buds out on i-bridge and sounds like there doing the same as us. just want some hogs to come in;)

Fished I-bridge....31 one fish, only one legal, and just barely. Best fishing was 1-4, after that til dark it was very slow...weird.

The weekends are the only time I get to fish with school and work. Not sure when I will be on the river again. Friday night I am hoping to go smelting on Higgin's. Fishing a lake in Gladwin Saturday. So I would say Sunday I will be back on the river in the morning and Evening. I haven't been catching any hogs, just good eaters with most fish being in the 15.5-18 inch range. I'll post when I am going to make it out next. I am hoping to get my digital camera fixed so I can get some pictures on here.

Two of my buddies went out the last 2 evening's and fished the general location I have been getting keepers in. Neither night have they even iced a fish. Tuesday night 3 hits all missed. Two hits on a jig and one on a jiggin Rap.
Wednesday night 2 hits, both missed. Both on Jigs. Hopefully some fish are back for the weekend.
