My older compound bow is making more of a "twang" sound than it used to. Accuracy is still good. Haven't changed the fast flite string in a while so I think this is part of the problem. Here's the question. Could "out of time" limbs make a bow noisier, and how does the shop check them? They look to be adjusted the same by inspecting where they attach to the riser. Thanks.

out of time cams, can cause extra vibration as they fight against eachother. I like to pull the bow back using the saem technique you would normally ie release, fingers etc. You can feel how the cams roll over and if both stop at the same time when you hit the wall. Or you can have someone watch them as you draw and see if they roll over at the same time.

Based on what you described as just being a twang it could be a tons of different things wrong. Grouse hunter could be right your timing could definitely be off. Your strings of cabels could be strectched thus throwing off your cams. The limbs could have a slight crack or splinter in them. But i doubt that. Something could have gotten loose in your sight, rest, stabilizer. Or if you have switched to a lighter arrow, that will cause your bow to shot louder and have more of a twang noise. thats my two cents anyway.
