Anyone know what those lantern shaped heater things are called?
If your not sure what i meen they look like a lantern but they have some kind heat filiments inside them.Hope that helps.

Its looks more like the 1st pic but not quite exactly.They do have a lantern sheild and do screw onto a 1lb cylinder.I`ll be getting out today I think and Im going to be looking for 1.

I was at Gander Mt yesterday and was looking for 1 of these.They didnt have them in stock but a person working there told me that they are called cole snap shot.I looked on the coleman site trying to find a pic but I couldnt:banghead3

I did see something similar its actualy a lantern.Except the eleiment is made out of metal and its much smaller about 4x4 inches.I tryed find it on colemans web site as well and cant find a pic of it either :banghead3

Maybe the guy at the GM doesnt know what he`s talking about.

After looking at photos of these products Im almost sure that this is what Im talking about.

I think what you are talking about is a Coleman "Sportcat" It has a base that the #1 propane tank sets in and the heater screws on the top about the same size as a propane lantern.

The pictures in the first one look like some sort of catalytic heater and not a lantern. If it is a catalytic heater that you are looking for there are many different models out there.
