OK, heres the story....Drove up after very little sleep to Sanilac to due some boat fishing to find out that the waves were going over the break wall. We said screw that and came back home. Got one of my buddys to go up to the ausable and were fishing by 1:30 this afternoon. Went to the almost up to the dam first and they were shoulder to shoulder and hardly any fish. So I had to "water" a tree and while I was doing that happened to look up and see good old Weezer. He said that he went 0-6 since last night. We then headed back to another spot and after 45min my other buddy landed a nice 6lb hen that looked pretty fresh. Only fish he hooked and landed all afternoon. Weeezer had to be out around 5pm and I think he went about 2-5...not quite sure on those numbers. Then I went 0-4 and yet again failed to land my first river steelie. Three of the fish were really nice, one hen was probably 10lbs and fresh. One other one was fresh and the two othere males I hooked looked like they were in there for a while. I hooked all 4 of my fish on spawn. But everyone was hooking fish on flies, spawn, waxies, it didn't matter.
