I just bought a Suzuki LT230 for 500.00 it only has 1500 miles and has always been stored inside. How do you think this 4 wheeler will perform on the ICE/snow for fishing?? I only need to pull a 2 person Frabil shanty with seats and 1 more person. Where did you get the fron rack?? I would like to get one for mine for my AUger.
Thanks

The quad in the photos I posted in this thread previously is a 1987 Suzuki LT230E. I have owned it from day one. It's performed flawlessly for me for 20 years. I've use it for Deer Hunting, Ice Fishing & Trail Riding. I took it to Alexandria when we qualified for the NAIFC and rode it all over. I have had it in snow that is easily 15-20" deep & rode it with out a problem. I use no studs or chains either. My partner has the exact same unit and his story is the same as mine. I put new tires & a muffler on it in 03' replacing the originals. The front rack I purchased from JC Whitney, it was built by Cambridge Metals & Plastics, 200 South Cleveland, Cambridge, MN 55008 Ph#800-267-8680. It's a great rack but it did require one modification, an that was to make it more ridgid. I had the brackets welded to the tubes that comes down in front & attach at the front of the shocks on each side.

What did you do for a hitch? I would like to find one that would work with this quad.

I don't have a hitch on it currently, although I did scab one together while I was on Chemo so I could pull the boat 16ft deep V to the lake down the road. But that hitch has gone bye-bye now. More pictures of the Quad are in my photos on this site. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have on it or my gear. :coolgleam
