I went off the launch ramp at the state park. Appeared to be a place where something went through the ice with the hole marked with traffic cones. There was about and inch of ice with slush next and only 1 more inch of ice. Spud went all the way through with only two medium hits. No shantys or fishermen present. There were three shantys off the music camp but the conditions didnt look any different than state park. Appeared to be the same slush. I didnt go down the hill to check thickness. I would..and will...wait till late next week to put the shanty on and report more then.
