Just wondering if anyone had any reports from the two. Heading out tommarrow to both of them. Fished narrow at first ice and was great. Nothing beats a whole day on the lake.;)

My sister lives out near Duck lake and she told me that there were a couple shantys out on the ice last week, don't know how much ice is out there (she's not one for going out on ice).
Please post ice conditions out on Duck if you go out there. Would like to get out there Friday. Its a good hour and a half drive for me.

Fishing on Narrow has slowed way down.Still plenty of guys fishing but the bite is a lot slower than the first ice bite. Be carefull where you park and make sure you get far enough off the road. Story I got was some jokers decided to park on the south bound side and cut the traffic down to a lane and a half and some others started parking on private property so the Eaton County boys wrote some tickets. It happens every year, a few screw it up. Duck lake has 4 or more inches of ice by now. Talked with a fella Monday morning that was headed out there. According to him perch were biting in 30 feet of water streight out from the landing and good catches of gills on the south end. Good Luck if you make it out.

I was going to fish narrow last Sunday but the bait shop was out of bait and I had to go to Olivet. I am thinking i am going to head back there or even go to Duck.

By bait shop do you mean the party store at Narrow Lake or Duck Point on Duck Lake. One or the other normally has bait and there is also a store at the south end of Duck Lake, I think they have bait also.

If you know where the public launch is on Duck Lake there is a bait shop right across the street. It's a lot closer than running to Olivet for bait and he has a pretty good selection as far as spikes, waxe's etc and minnows.
