Canadian Lakes

Was wondering if anyone has ever fished Canadian lakes by Stanwood, Mi.? I have a chance to go up and stay at a relatives cabin for a weekend and fish. Also if you have fished it what kind of fish have you caught? I have no idea whats in those lakes:confused: ??

Grew up fishing them, they have Bass, some specs, some decent gills and hammerhandles by the thousands, you can put a couple tip ups out and be entertained all afternoon typically but they run small....

Ditto the pike...it's a blast-especially for learning how to set tip-ups and fight fish.
