Stelmon Try makeing patties ,like you would with canned salmon. Add crushed crakers, egg, abit of diced onion ,and ground crappie fillits ,season to your taste and make patties . put the fried patties on a cheesed burger bun ,makes great sandwitches. I use this recipe because of the soft mushy texture of most crappie. When prepared this way ,the texture factor is eliminated

Well, first I start with bluegills... LOL! Just kidding - Stelmon, I like a batter made from Drakes and beer. You'll have to have your dad help you with that. Pretty much what I use on all fish (except trout).

Stelmon,

Filet them,

Brush them with Olive Oil,

Grill them with the lid closed and damp Shagbark Hickory on the Lava-rocks or charcoal.
