Took my son out tonight for his first ice fishing experience.
Caught 4 gills and 3 crappie with one at 11". Marking alot of stuff on the bottom in about 15-20', But they didnt like our presentation (orange and a green rocker on wax worms). Should have brought some minnows.
the guys I talked to caught a few but nobody was killing them.
All in all a good night, he had a great time that's all the mattered.

Yeah he's ready for Salmon. I had him out on a charter boat in some really good chop, no where near the death waves of lake Michigan we were in last year, But he did great.
Planning on going back out to Stoney Saturday with some minnows for the evening Crappie bite.

The only time parking is a problem is when the cars are hanging out in the road.
Other then that no problems

Last I knew the camp was kicking people off for parking on the edge of the road. If not good luck out there. Maybee I will see some of you out there one of these days. As for the Pike question I haven't caught a good one out of there in about ten years or so.

Crappie are the only thing I have caught out of there with any good size.
It has been a few years since I have caught a bass or pike out there and the last pike was about 6".
