Fished Morrison this afternoon. Ice is good, 5"+. Nothing but a bunch of very small perch. If thinking about heading that way I would say don't bother.

if you go south west towards the middle you will tear the specks up out there...look for 20-30ft of water..never let me down out there...my buddy has been tearing the gills up there

Same for me. I've never found the 30' of water, but in 20'-21' we consistently slay the crappie with jigs and minnows. On Friday and Saturday did decent with most crappie averaging larger than last year's catch.

seems like the better fish are in deeper water right know, anything under 18 fow you seem to find those small perch (tons of them). I moved out to deeper water sat morn and caught my limit of gills. the specs are every where it seems, haven't found the Jumbos yet, now that the ice is good it is time to go searching.

I guess some people just don't serch around enough to find the fish in that lake I've had good fishing so far this year there. I wenty out Sat. and Sun. and had limits of fish you just need to explore a little they are out there you just gotta look and a Vexilar helps alot..:yikes:

Might make it out there tonight. Wife's recuperating from foot surgery and I think she can be on her own now. If I make it, I'll be the one in the purple Otter Cottage Shanty. Probably between the public access and the island.

Any updates. I am thinking of coming out there on Sunday. Have you guys been catching the gills during the day and then getting the crappie's at night? Thanks Jon

We've been getting huge numbers of specks like everyone is saying, but take what everyone is saying with a grain of salt as far as size goes. The specks have been in the 8.5-9.5 inch range. Not real big if you ask me. If guys have found'em bigger, have at it. It's a zoo out there...but it's a lot of fun. Gills are catchable during the day, but it's been real slow. I'll be out there Fri. and Sat. Good luck

I am gonna head out there tonight. I am gonna be out there between 430 and 730 or 8.
fished Morrison last night. The specks didn't seem to turn on for us till about 7:00pm. Marked alot of fish in 18fow, but the bite was slower than it has been. I managed 12 decent sized specks and had to leave at about 9:00pm.

I fished it last night and pretty much the same results. The only thing I was using spikes because I didn't have any minnows. Marked alot of fish on the vex though. Quite alot of people out there though for a thursday.

You are probably right, but someone on here told me about the lake along with someone I work with. If I can pass some information on to someone I will because people have done the same for me.
