split shot, we are looking for about an hour to hour an half from port huron due to the wife being on call that weekend, we frequent the pentwaterarea though, we have two kids, 6 and 3, so that pretty much tells you about the amenities, plus water for fishing and swimming.

Tourney? Yup, it's still in it's infancy. Not many participants and not many boats. I'll be up there along with Queenie, Rivernut, Tangleknot, Chromium and possibly Don and Kingfisher.
I'll have my boat there. You're welcome to fish a few mornings with me.

I'll clue ya in. Harbor Beach can be very cold that time of year, but it fits your bill as far as distance

i will get back with you on that offer. i am hoping that weekend will be our maiden trip for a camper, trying tio find a decent one used, but nobody seems to be putting theres up for sale yet. If i don't find one by then we will be tenting it. My brother in law is stationed there in the coast gaurd, i'll have him stop in and see if there are any openings.
