Have some time to fish tommorrow, and I am questioning where to fish. Last week went to palmer & saw nothing but dinks. The week before went to geiger with nothing to show for it.

So where would you go?:help:

Was at caseville most of the weekend and got nothing but dinks. Lots of slush on the ice with about 2-3 inches of water on top of 6 inches of ice. Wear good boots if you go, i had two very wet feet after sunday morning.

Yep, its the river in Bay City it is the bridge by the Chevy plant. Take the Wilder road exit off I-75 and just keep going till you see the bridge. There are two boat launches by the bridge one on each side of the river.

Are they getting on the river before you go over the bridge? Want to get out on the river, but not sure if I want to stay in town or head to BC.

Thanks

If you come from Saginaw take the Wilder rd exit, and stay on Wilder until you can see the bridge. You have to make a left hand turn at the traffic light before you cross the bridge. The entrance to the boat launch will be on the right hand side.

From what I've heard and read, everyone is having some luck at both places. Just have to figure out which one you want to fish. Most fish are small, but there have been some keepers. My grandson fished in downtown Bay City on Tuesday, and hung a big fish. He didn't have a spud with him, just kicked an old hole open, and couldn't get the fish through the hole. Someone came to help him open the hole, and when he lowered the fish, it threw the hook.

I fished the independance bridge yesterday.
all I caught were 8 fish around 12 inches.
I seen one keeper on the ice near where I was fishing.
the ice was about 3 inches.
I feel alot safer out on that river going 80 on my snomobile going to hooters for some liquid courage:yikes:
