Spent about 2 hours in front of Eastwood beach. Dropped down a jigging Rap. Saw a pike come in on the camera take the Rap and had a fight on for 3-5 seconds. Not a good hookset. Came off. saw some small perch come thru and that was about it.

Will be trying somemore different spots looking for those wallys.

Those Metroparks sure know how to crank out small baby sized perch. Same at Kensington.

Ice was 5.5" in front of the beach. Suspect at least that much elsewhere.

Steve, they even looked small on camera.

I'm going to try Stony for the first time tomorrow or Saturday, where is a bait shop? I usually fish w/ minnows, but some guys at work mentioned wax worms are the key at stoney.

Closest bait store would be in Lake Orion or out by Lk. St. Clair

Those Metroparks sure know how to crank out small baby sized perch. Same at Kensington. Thats due to an out of balance predator/prey relationship. The panfish are getting stunted due to overcrowding. We need better managment of the alpha predators.

Everything I have read on this body of water says there is alot of food for the larger gamefish, such has walleye, bass, pike and catfish. I know I have pulled some walleye out of there from shore this past fall.:D Also I belive this lake would lend itself to be more of a crappie lake then a bluegill lake. Atleast thats what the lure test has soon me.:D
