How do you guys mount your tite loks? Do they make a track that you can slip them in and out of like the berts system? Thanks......Mack
Yes, they make a track too. My boat has tite lok tracks, but after losing a couple of rods to those tite loc's weak adjustment system, I have Berts in the tracks, they fit fine. I might be losing just a tad of swivel range with this setup, but I never missed not having the range. I sure don't miss losing expensive rod combos. If I were rigging new, I would just go Berts or Pursuits right from the get go.

You are dead on... Spend the $$ up front and you wont have to buy good rod holders to replace your broken ones in a year...

I had the tite locks on my other boat and there were not worth a hill of beans even if the guy did make a mistake at the register and charge me half price:rolleyes: on a pair of triples, I still dont want them even at half price.. Cya Slick

the tite lock tracks are cheaper than the other guys, just don't buy their holders, stick to something like berts, big johns' ect.

Burts and Tite-Lock tracks will interchange. I agree with that the Burts are the better rod holders, no question. I am working in that direction. But in all fairness, I have ran Tite-Locs for the last 13 years and have never had a rod holder break, spin loose, or dump a rod. Again, this is not a thread as to which holder is better, we have been down that path. For the occaisional foray out to the great lakes or for pulling walleye boards, Tite-loc will work just fine. Like anything, just take care of them .
Don't use the pull pin style though, I have had one of those break.

I was at a loss as to how I would mount a plank for rod holders untill a guy at the boat dealership suggested that I try Eagle Feet for my aluminum boat. I bought them for $69 a pear and muonted 6 rodholders on a 2X6 plank. I would use a 2X8 next time but it was a great solution
They hace a website If you wanna goggle eagle feet boat equipment but the picture does not give much info. but they work fine for me.
I havn't posted enough yet to post the url, sorry
