Can anyone recommend a good technical book on compound bows and how they work?

Y2..........I don't know of any current ones at this time. But what I've found in the past is that the technology changes so fast that 'books' are quickly out of date. I've got a shelf full of 'em over my workbench.

Nowadays I look to the internet for the most current info. You can't beat www.archerytalk.com as a forum venue for archery related stuff. This forum here is a good one....but AT is a very active site with over a hundred archers on it at one time. It is the dominant venue for bow people....other sites like ArcheryWorld and Eders have faded under the popularity of AT.

In fact, it may be "too" current as you will see a lot of really advanced ideas being tried by the very accomplished archers floated on it....but still I lurk AT like I lurk M-S.

Thanks! I'll scan through archives of both sites. At the moment I want to get the basics under my belt and then ask questions as I learn.

I like this website for bow comparisons and technical info. I think the author does a good job explaining things in way that is easy to understand.
