Suggestions for Trip

I have a group of about 6-8 guys, looking to take a Ice fishing trip Feb 23-25.

As of right now we are thinking about heading to the bay to get in on the walleye bite.
So here is my questions,

Where would you guys suggest as to a place to stay? (Bay City, Linwood, or somewhere else.)

We will have transportation on the ice, at that time of year what are some of the best places to get on to the Ice from?

Of course all of this depends on the weather, The long range forecast looks good;) ;)

Linwood road is a good spot but usually busy...there's lots of parking if you can get on the ice. There's a motel in Pinconning and couple along M13 between BayCity and Linwood...although they look a little rough. There is a Amer-Inn or something like that at wilder/13/75 in Bay City. I'm sure someone has better/more info on the motels.
I will be (should be) on top of the eyes by then and shiver will be over so I can help you with spots to fish if you want to PM me.
