I have four Big Jon manual downriggers with four foot arms that I'm thinking about selling and I'm just wondering what they might be worth. They're the siderigger model with the bigger spool. I bought them new in 1985, but they've been unused since about 1996 or so. I always thought I'd buy a bigger boat after I sold my last one, but it probably isn't going to happen. :(

Thanks, Steve

Steve - Try looking on ebay to give you an idea on the going price or maybe try giving Big Jon a call. I know they used to sell used riggers years ago. Good luck!

You're probably looking at $75 for the rigger, add $30 for each tube style rod holder it has on it, and another $30+ if you have a swivel base. I'd say thats pretty realistic give or take 25%..

Thanks guys, that gives me a starting point. Ebay had a lot of 'riggers for sale, but not the same model as mine.

sounds about right jason, i have the older ones with the glass booms (4ft) i paid 75 each for one set and 150 each for the other set, 150 was a bit high but i was in a bidding war with someone and wanted them bad enough. i bought mine without swivel bases and one rod holder per. (not swivels)
