Fished Palmer Rd. yestrday . On the way off the ice we saw several holes filled with small dead perch . Perch that were caught but not put in the bucket to keep , nor were they thrown back while alive . What a waste of an absolutely precious resource . I thought that our icefishing fraternity was a little more sensitive and protective by nature . Please use a sort bucket or return the small ones to the hole while alive . You know ahead of time what size you are going to keep .

I am proud to say that a few years ago, I made a call to the DNR about a cpl of slobs I seen leaving not only dinks on the ice, but all of their trash as well. I heard a cpl of days later through another source that the two guys I pointed out recieved hefty fines...I will do it again to any ****ing slob I see doing the same.

I know what you mean Capt.Chaos. I live on the bayshore in this area. It is amazing to see the junk that washes up on shore every spring such as propane bottles, liquor bottles, and what ever else some slob hauled out there and left on the ice for whatever reason. C'mon people, if you take it out, bring it in! :rant:

man i hate when a** holes do that........on the weekend in the chanals after all the weekenders leave i go out there and pick up all there trash and try to through back there fish they just leave on the ice to flop.....what a wast

No apologies needed. You put into words what we all feel. Sometimes when I see someone leave some trash I say something to them, sometimes I just pick up their junk. I think now I will do both. Something like:

"Excuse me. May I pick up your trash for you?"
or...
"Excuse me. Are you going to pick up your trash, or should I do it?"
or...
"Excuse me. Would you please take care of your trash?"
or...
"Pick up your trash, please."
or...
"You are making all of us look like idiots. Pick up your trash"
or...
"Pick up your trash, you idiot":evil:

We always pick up trash aon the ice. This weekend I was rewarded for it. I walked out to pick up a plastic bottle someone left and next to the bottle was a chew container. When I picked that up it rattled so I opened it and it was filled with 28 teardrops.

I dont lmow how many times I have picked up trash and empty beer bottles/cans.I never could understand how you can carry a case of FULL beers out with you but you cant carry back the empties:confused: I have also done that with Bait bags left in the woods.You carry out an 50lb bag of bait out but you cant stuff the empty bag in your pocket?It's too bad but there always will be a few bad apples in the bushel and it is us that will continue to clean up after the slobs:rant: O.K I"m done......................:D
