Okay, a quickie question/ survey in hopes of a few short answers - When you use live bait; minnows, spikes, or wigglers, do you use a little bobber, spring bobber or just sight/tight line it with no bobber? Thanks ahead of time.

If I can see it, thats how I fish it. If its too deep or dark of water I hang line straight down near bottom and if light bite's switch to slip bobber.

I know a lot of old timers who use a slip bobber. I have spring bobbers on all my lighter ice rods. Why not is what I say.

spring bobber ...unless im jigging in shallow then nothing at all...i see some is bringing up the no bait debate ....when the with are active its nice to fish with no bait but when its a slow bite minnows or other live bait will help you catch more fish...as far using just spoons lol i caught a lot of fish last year on a 1/32 jid witha piece of rubber tubing on it...............almost forgot when fish are biting really lite i use a plastic zip tip for a spring bobber just tape it to the end of the rod and use smaller sizes for liter biting fish

use a small piece off leg or thigh (raw)and scrape fat off it so its thin. Great action under water but if too big they try to take off with it before taking it all in. They don't tear it off hook due to its toughness.
