Depending on which sight you want to use? Hunting sights I use the 4 pin viper sight which is the best hunting sight Ive ever used stainless steel pins brightest fibers Ive seen, for targets I use Sure-loc supreme inch bar with sure-loc scope and up pin best advice is to go to a pro shop and try to look at as many different sights as you can as with almost anything you get what you pay for.
I use the HHA ol 5500,it has 5ft of fiber optic and it is a single pin.I had the single pin vital bow gear sight and I like the HHA much better.

I just got a G5 optix me and I have to tell you, this sight blows my copper johns dead nutz away. The G5 has everything you could want in a sight. The spot hoggs look good too.

Yeah!! isthis a hunting or competition or both site? And a price range your looking at will help break own good sights at price range.

i use the vital bow angle site kind of high priced[$100.00-$125.oo] but i like it it has 3ft of fiber for each pin and stays lite well after dark.i is the best i shot in low light so far.if you mess up the fiber send it back and they will rerap it for like 5 bucks.

Is that site lit with a battery? I believe the description says LED pins? Just currious..
Looks nice and my neighbor works for G5.. Might see if she can get me a nice hook up!!!
My HHA is ok but the pin seems to die out quite a bit in lower light...

Yep, the fibers are lit up with a LED light. But not in the conventional way. The light is in a chamber and it is broadcast down the ends of the fiber. This way the light dosnt shine at all in your sight picture but your pins are bright.

Awesome.. I hate the open ended light setups.. THis year I had to pull some Macgayver BS on my site.. My HHA seems to die in low light. So I bought a cheapy Cobra Blue light. Hooked it up to the braket and made a difuser out of a drinking straw and black electrical tape.. Ran that to the excess fiber on the pin..It worked great.. The pin lit up perfectely, and you could not see the blue light shining all over the woods.. Just looked very Macgayverish and kinda hokey!!
Ill have to talk to my neigbor about getting me one of these set ups...

sounds like you need to check out the G5 sights then because it's the only one I have seen that lights the pins in this way.

I saw another one other one at Bass pro one day.. I didnt recognize the name either.. It was around $120 or so.. I would much rather spend the money on name I recognize and know it will be a good product..Thanks for sharing the info...

I shoot the Trophy Ridge Matrix in 3 pin, best sight I have shot in 25+ years. If you look at E-bay, you can get them for around $50 as compared to at least $100 at the stores. They also have a blue led light that attaches to the top of the sight and shines onto the fiber optics and transfers the light to your pins, extremely bright and adds an extra 10 mins to your hunt. The led light is around $15 at gander or Cabelas.

I use Viper, like this one but two years ago model, it is the same but with-out the Mathews vibration dampener. I use this for hunting and for indoor animal target league. It is one of the best sights I have every used.

I agree with UPTRACKER, go with the vertical pin orientation.
I have owned a sight from damn near every manufacturere. My favorite so far is from Vital Bow Gear. I just like the way the sight looks to my eye when I'm at full draw. The fiber is imbedded in a machined aluminum post with a real nice thin appearance.
I also love the small pin dot.
