theres ice...2-3" of it, but im not sure how far out that ice thickness will go. not too far out there are open holes with duck landing in them. with tonights temps theyll skim over. could be an easy way to fall in if you venture out too far. most guys are hangin pretty tight right now. a couple hits with the spud and your through. the water is pretty murky too. you can see the fish down there, but it isnt real clear...and theres lots of people. i tried to get away from them, but they just kept expanding. all i caught was small perch. i only saw two decent fish from 2 pm-5:20 pm. i moved around quite a bit too. its pretty ugly, at least in the afternoons. a couple guys did alright there early this morning. from the amount of guys i seen tonight, its gonna be a mob out there tomorrow. have fun.:evilsmile

fished this evening off newman rd., about 3" of ice. Hard ice, will bring hand auger next time instead of spud. Fished in about 3' of water straight out, clear water but not a fish to be seen. Trying sebewing area in morning. Only about 5 of us out at newman this afternoon.

Did good the past 2 mornings on palmer. Got some real nice ones. Be careful there are a lot of cracks. The coast gaurd had to take some guys off the ice around noon today after the ice cracked and a peice moved out. Don't venture out to far.

Best is to get next to a weed bed, right on the edge, anywhere from 2- 4 foot.

Never went to sebewing, tried pinconning rd. on sat. morning. Not a fish to be seen. We started in 3 1/2 to 4' and moved in 3 times trying all the way to 1 1/2 '. Nothing. Didn't hear much from anyone. Will be trying the state park this week for walleye and sebewing next sat. at the outing. Good luck out there, good hard ice about 3 to 4".

4 of us fished from 7 till noon. i caught a dozen throw backs and seen prolly 2 keepers. my buddies did the same. Not a good day of fishing but nice to get out there and fish for a while. im guessin the the crowd of people spooked them. hopefully ill get back out there soon and the fish will be there also.

between four of us we kept 78, nothing real big, 7-10 inchers. A lot of people were moving around us, we had fish in the hole non-stop. we fished right next to the crack straight out in front of the channel in three foot of water.

That is the ONLY report of fish being caught I've heard of, congratulations ! Four of us out there also, moving around on the hunt for the Perch. Total caught, keepers, two. 500 other people out there scattered around couldn't find any fish either. You the man !

Caught a few near the Pine on Saturday morning. Some nice chunky fish this year but they were spooky under that thin ice and shallow water. I had a few small walleye move through too with one 13" thrown back.

good luck

My dad and his buddy fished north of the pine sunday night and caught 4 12" perch, and seen atleast 10 walleye, he said the walleye would just come up and nose the bait. He said there were a couple of keepers in the bunch, maybe have to try the walleye fishing out:evilsmile

Went out on Palmer Rd. this morning. Extremely windy. Lots of people. No fish. :( Seen a few very small ones in the hole, but nothing even close to a keeper.

Most of the people were on there way back to their vehicles by 9:00 am., as others were on there way out.
