Ok I have seen a few problems reguarding this...It is not like Hunting-Pictures.com where you just copy the URL from the top of the web page. Here is what ya do:

Get the Photo Uploaded in the Gallery.

Click on it to view it FULL SIZE.

Right Click on the pic, then Left Click on the "Properties" Tab
In the Box that Pops up Left Click to highlight the URL of the pic there...*Note: Make sure ya hold down the mouse to highlight the URL and move the Mouse down to make sure ya get the WHOLE URL address.

Next while the URL is Highlighted in blue, Right Click and Select "Copy"

From here you are back to the normal way to post a pic having the URL Copied....

Now go to your Post and Select "IMG" and when the IMG box pops up type Ctrl V and the URL will be put in, then ya hit Enter!

That doesn't work for me :(

I must have something wrong with my mouse.
Right clicking on ANYTHING doesn't work !

I tried to post a pic in a post but it DIDN'T WORK.

I did it the way that I ALWAYS HAVE.
I just bring the pic up on screen and use my mouse to higlight the address in the address bar and hit "Ctrl-C" (that copies the addreses to the clipboard)
Then I make the post and use the img tag. Then just use the "Ctrl-V" to copy the address into the image tag.
When I try to preview the post I just get an "X-box" :(

My procedure is "a little" different but basically accomplishes the SAME THING. This is the way I have always posted pics in a post and it has always worked.

Oh well :(

JPollman...You Have to be able to right Click on the Full Size picture and select Properties. That is the only way to get the proper URL....Also, I haven't tried it yet but when I was on the Phone with Splitshot it seemed like the Ctrl-C didn't work and he had to Right-click and select copy there too...I know the Ctrl-V still works though....Mabey it is time for a new Mouse????

Well, it still doesn't work.

I can bring up the picture FULL SIZE on the picture forums.

I can go up to the top menus and select "Properties" from that menu and highlight the address there. (It's the SAME address that shows in the address bar) Copy it and put it into a post with the IMG tag and it still just displays an X box.

I'm not going to screw around with it too long. If it doesn't work, so be it. I'll use hunting pics.com and do it the old way

Thanks for the input.

PS
I fail to see the difference of "right clicking" or manually typing in the SAME ADDRESS into the IMG tag. They BOTH should work.

RIGHT CLICK on the PICTURE itself! Then a Box will pop up and select Properties there. That will get ya Just the Pictures URL, and not everything else on the page too! There is a difference in the URL's TRUST ME!

Does that help? Let me know...

You have to right click on the picture...the pictures URL is Hidden. After you Right click on the picture and hit properties, you can just write down the URL of the Picture and Hand type it in the IMG box, it is just the long way, you are right that part will be the same...

Steve, I did what Don said above about manually typing in the URL but that didn't work either. Hate to be a pest, but if I can get this to work it would eliminate you or Don from taking up your time. Thanks for your patience.

I don't understand why I can cut and paste other things but not a URL for a picture. Of course I still don't understand how the internet works either.

Don't know. Either they don't have a right mouse button or are using browsers made before the dawn of man.

Northern Outdoorsman

I copied the URL from the enlarged picture just like you said ( No problem)

I pasted the URL to the IMG box ( No Problem)

When I submit the post all I get are Xs

Do you have to leave the HTTP// in? I copied over that

Hey Steve, This computer is a brand new top of the line computer and the right click of the mouse works on other applications. I was just wondering if it had something to do with a setting or maybe the server was a little slow. Anyhow, I tried it at work and it worked fine. At least I know how to post now.

Thanks NO and Steve

Try high lighting then using the keyboard controls. ctrl c for copy then ctrl v for paste. I haven't tried that but found out hotmail last night will not take the right mouse click. Used the keyboard just fine.
