Jason , I stay in Manistee at Sengs , its a great place and very nice. It is a gated communitty , has its own covered fish cleaning station , boat lift , boat service , pump out , fuel , nice covered porch/shower/restrooms,a small ships store, the boaters are great ( about half are fishermen and the others just boaters , no charter boats are allowed in for insurance reasons) and Jeff and Ava Seng are wonderfull hosts. The only drawback is that they are located on Manistee Lake , to the south just around the stone pile and it is about a 20 to 30 minute boat ride to the peir heads but it does give you a chance to warm the engines up , rig rods and tackle and generaly make sure everything on the boat is in order. Call Sue or Ava at 231-723-9508 , the last I knew they still had a few slips open.

Sengs is a full service marina. They installed new floating docks within the last couple years and have the nicest fish cleaning station in Manistee. Their rates and service fees are reasonable.

If you're fishing out of Manistee you need to pay attention to the Outings Forum for news of the 10th Annual Michigan-Sportsman.com Salmon and Trout Fun Fishing Tournament that we hold on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend out of Manistee. It's a great time and will give you the opportunity to meet some of the characters on the site........and I do mean "characters". :lol:

Frankfort is my #1 place to fish all year round. You must try it there.
