If we offered a premium elite PhotoPost subscription what would you guys pay for say 10MB of picture storage space for 1 year? 10MB of server space costs me $1 per month or $12 per year, so I would clear $8 per year for my administrative time if we offered this for say, $20 or $25 per year. Does this sound so high that people wouldn't want to pay for it? 10MB of space with an average picture size of 40k (which you should be able to do) would give you about 250 pictures.

Howdy, Steve-
I'd say that is a very reasonable price. I'd take advantage of it if I ever got anything worth showing off.....:D

I would be happy to pay that if I could figure out how to use it. I'm a fisherman and hunter but really stupid when it comes to this puter thing. I have some pictures in my personal photos on my computer of our trip to S.D. that I saved off from the guides site that I would love to show you guys but I can't figure out how to do it. I'm thinking about trying to get to a class to learn but am struggling with my intense summer schedule. If anybody Knows of any self help programs or books I would love to try them .Thanx!!!

That sounds fair to me. I would hope that everyone that enjoys this site on a regular basis contributes to the cause. I look at it like a magizine subscription. It is my intention to renew my subsciption to M-S on a yearly basis. I would be willing to pay the extra cash for the use of the picture gallery. Together they don't add up to much if you look at it like something you use 365 days a year.

Not a problem Serial and you will be able to store quite a few pictures using your own compression tips with the default amount of disk space.

S.F.K.
I think if we all choose to take a free ride this site won't be around for long.

This site will be around for a long time regardless. Many of you have been very generous in the past, advertising while not great anymore keeps the engine moving.

The default storage space will be enough for most. For those who need more, the pricing structure will be enough to support the costs of operating it.

There are alot of free places to use to post pictures...that is true. But like everything else in life that is free, it is bound to end someday and it is nice to know that when it does we can give the money to "Our" Site and not someone elses.

My fault. I was ASSUMING that the statement was that This entire site should be free for all. That was not said by S.F.K. so i apologize. My thinking is that nothing is free and I am happy to pay for what I use.
Sorry S.F.K.
Steve I appreciate the fact that you don't constantly sollicitate money but I do feel that This site is worth at least the cost of 12 magazines a year. Whats that 25 bucks a year? I pay over 100 bucks for 5 outdoors mags and I hardly read them anymore.

How about one buck from every member to cover all cost. When all that money runs out, then everyone annie up another buck. That would $3209 dollars as of todays member totals.

The problem, ifish, is that one dollar from every member would never happen, thus we go to other plans.

I would do it. First I would have to figure out how to send my pictures. When it come to computers I can log in and log out thats about it (I can also run my Big Game Hunter 4 game).

Ok i'm in. Just wondering how I will know when it takes affect. Will I be Notified.
For 2 dollars a month it seems to be cheap entertainment.

Just curious, will the individual picture size restraints remain in effect if I opt for the expanded Storage?
