If any of you reload shotshells this is my shotgun load with F lead. I can't notice any difference between it and 4 buck. I shoot it with a patternmaster choke tube.
Federal 12 ga plastic base 3.5 hull , Blue dot powder 36 gr, cci-209m primer, MM1235 wad and 2oz of shot. Use 1 20ga 1/8 in felt wad in base of shotcup to raise shot for crimp. Load chronographs about 1240 fps.
Ballistic products has the wads and shot for this load. I have also shot a 2 1/8 oz load which is 80 fps slower and patterned the same as the 2 oz load.
The 2oz load has the best speed and pattern of all the loads I've shot.
