Does anyone know of any ice forming on Fletchers Floodwaters? My girlfriend and I will be staying at Jacks Landing this weekend just to get the #$@* away from reality for a few days. I'm sure things are just starting to ice up, but it comes quick when the nights are in the teens. Thanks in advance.

Hey, man...I hope you all have a relaxing time. I'm going up there in a couple of weeks. If you think about it when you get back, would you mind reporting the ice thickness back here? Thanks in advance and I hope you find fishable ice!

The lake froze over on Tuesday night. Today is supposed to be the warmest day, then the additional freezing will take place. There wasn't enough ice to walk on as of yesterday, but Jacks Landing felt that possibly they would be fishing by Sat., with ATV & snowmobile useage by mid-week.

Can someone tell me where Fletcher's is? I've heard a lot about it, and would like to try it. PM if you like.
Thanks

I'll definately give a report when I return. I ccalled Jacks this morning and he said the pond is ice covered. It looks cold enough to make ice the next few days & since we'll be arriving on sunday, i think we'll be able to give it a shot.

Thanks a ton Bullydog. I called Jacks this morning, but a pic is worth so much more than what someone can describe on the phone. I'm almost considering postponing 'til next weekend simply because i want my girlfriend to have a good first time ice fishing (to me that means moving around to find fish and being completely safe). Thanks again ;) .

No problem, had some time to kill. Thats probably not a bad idea. The forecast for next week looks great for making ice. But there will probably be people fishing it this weekend.

I'm also heading up this weekend. My Grandfather owns a cabin in the Hilman/Rust area. We are staying up there Friday night and Saturday night. Doing some ice fishing, card playing, and a venison shoulder roast on Saturday night. MMMMMMMM!
