No way, I'd be the same way! Although it's not quite a once-in-a-lifetime thing, it's pretty close. I've gone 10 years applying for tags unsuccessfully, and when the year comes I get one, my wife knows I'll be geeked up for the elk hunt.

Thats awesome. I too someday would love to hunt elk. Although it probably won't be in Michigan :(.

I plan on moving out west after I graduate from college for a few years. Right now I'm looking at Montana, so I should have plenty of opportunity.

Yeah,... I've just about given up the ghost to get drawn a tag for any elk around here. :mad:

The last few years I've been getting a OTC non-resident tag huntin' Wapiti
in Idaho ( going again this coming October for 2 weeks :D ) Not that I've totally given up,... I put in for a point the years I'm elsewhere just in case the miricle does happen.

For those of you out there who have been fortunate enough,... have a great hunt,.. and remember to take that camera!!
