More oil on Sat. ?

Saw on the a.m. news of another oil dumping of aprox. 5000 gals. Anybody know if this one has also raised hell down river? Was going to try trenton on Mon. Canceled last thur. and am wondering if we now have the same situation as last week. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jack, saw a very light skim on the top of the water on Sunday afternoon up around the mouth of the Rouge.....other than that, things looked good.....

I sure hope this second spill was just oil that was still in the storm drain system, and washed out on Friday night.....if they allowed another dumping to occur in the midst of what has happend I would be royally pissed!

Looks like the rumor may be true. This if from the today's free press...

"The Rouge River was closed after a second oil slick was spotted in the river, officials said.

The new slick, which was found Saturday morning along the south bank of the river, is as large as the first spill discovered by the Coast Guard on Tuesday, said Don de Blasio, spokesman for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency."
