Question about Stevens Model 94 shotgun

I have an old Stevens model 94 12ga. shotgun, and I would like to know what the series "M" means. Wondering if it is for modified chole or sometjing else. If not, where can I find information about this gun?

The Blue Book of Gun Values might have some info on the series. Stevens/Savage used the letter designators to show small model changes. The blue book should have those differences in it, most gun shops have one, they might even let you look at it if you ask nice.
