Does anyone one here hunt Coyote with their bow? If so how do you go about doing it?

HH, it's a hell of a challenge trying to get 'em with the gun. What's the reason for trying with the bow?
My brother shot a coyote with a bow a couple years ago while he was deer hunting. He tracked the blood trail to a den and didn't get the yote. His shot wasn't as lethal as he would have liked.
Good Luck if you decide to use the bow.

It sounds like fun, but as mentioned earlier, would be a heck of a challenge.

I have taken a few, three exactly, with a bow but it was while deer hunting. You have to take them in the vitals, which are small, to get them to stop before getting to the den. I think if you had your caller on the ground and you were in a stand you might stand a chance. They make a god awful noise when you hit em and their friends do not stick around to see what is wrong with their buddy. It will be tough but good luck with it, I think I'll stick to my shotgun.:D Let us know how it goes for you.

I got this one this year bow hunting. The group of dogs were on either side of me and talking back and forth. They came right through the funnel I was hunting. I could have got another one, but I couldn't knock another arrow fast enough. One dog sat there, just out of sight and barked at me for 15 minutes. Talk about screwing up your deer hunt!:dizzy: I hit her throught both lungs and she went 20 yards. They are a very small target, especially at 20 yards. (or more).

That is a real challenge. I have shot 2 with a gun, but have not had one close enough for a bow shot. That is something I hope to do someday.

I've come close while deer hunting. Lip squeaked one in in the Leelanau.
