Anyone have one of these? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4339329

I've used one of the blue ones made by Polarice.
It works fine but sells for $119 in think. The Hawkeye costs quite a bit less
but if its junk then its no bargain. I've seen another company thats put one
of these out. It kinda looks like this one. I think it sold for around $100.

I have the Marcum LX-i which sells for $120. It works great and saves you time drilling holes.

i didnt know the vex's could shoot thru ice. I will prolly get one or something
similar to it seeing its a dual purpose machine. Thanks for the info.

I use the LX-i. It has the read out on the end so you can read it when you set it on the ice. I have shot through 2ft of ice no problem. Just put some water on the ice or I have a hand held torch(used for solder pipes) that I use to melt the ice so I don't have to worry about water freezing.

It's less of a disaster to forget the beer than to forget the hand held sonar. Must have for tip up fishing. I bought the Vex hand held (can't remember the model #). I bought mine as a reconditioned unit right off Vex's website. Seems it was around $75. Works great.
