Looking for opinions on this blank for bigger water center pinning, does it have the power to lift on big water? I want a beefy stick, hoping not to have to build a spey rod.
I need to build three of these style rods in the next month. My wholesaler no longer carries the Baston Enterprises Blank....Loomis no longer has a custom option in 13 feet, either does Lamilgass.
So any product reviews?

It is a decent blank, probably a little more beef than the batson but not much. I know the wild river blank is a noodle, so that would be out of the question. Raven has some decent big water rods, the IM9 series is pretty fast with some backbone. The Raven IM8 is beefy enough for the Bigriver but will sometimes have you wishing you had more. I have a couple 8/9 spey blanks tied up for float rods but would say they are overkill for most situations around here, exception would be highwater with hot fish, or fresh kings. If you do go with the spey option and are building it for steelhead, I would go for a 6wt or 7wt at most.

Thanks for the help.
I found a wholesaler that has a full line up of Float blanks, I opened an account with him. I plan to order a croix and a baston, compare, and go from there.
Thanks again.
