Can you run Vexilars on 6v. batteries - just seems that I saw on this site

Do you mean a car batterie?
the ones i've seen run on a 12 v battery. the batteries are cheap enough (and last a long time if you care for them) to worry about any other type of source.

No, you cannot run them on 6v battery. The circuit board would be damaged, and potentially the LED display also. You can get 2 years out of a cheap 12v gel battery from Cabela's or Ebay.

But for the price involved $20-$25 at Gander will make you forget about non-rechargeable lantern batteries really FAST!

I have got 5 years and counting out of mine. I make sure they get a charge now and then in the off season. I agree the gel Batt. last a long time and are cheap so that's the way to go.

i have a bunch of 12 volt gel batteries that fit a vex for sale.most are lightly used but all work fine if you need some.they are normally 7.2 amp hour but i have them from 7.2 to 10 amp hour. hows 5 bucks a pop.
