Just a question I had and I'm not sure where to post this.
Puck and I were out today for birds/exercise and we came across a disturbing sight. We found a young farm animal dead, with twine around its neck) on public land. It was either a goat or a calf. I didn't get a great look at it because I didn't want Puck anywhere near it. My question is who should I call, the DNR or the Sheriff? This may just be someone who dumped a farm animal/pet that died (and they didn't know what else to do) or it could be a case of animal abuse (the twine around the neck seemed kind of strange). Please, no responses about satanic cults, I've already thought of about 25 jokes to make about that. I guess I just want to know who to call, or if I should even bother.
And no, reporting it to the Humane Society of the United States is not a good reply either.
