I wanted to know if anyone else has tried this or not. I am going to give it a try this winter with my dad. It sounds hard, but it also sounds like a good time.

I've done it just messing around with some guys coming out from bowhunting deer in December. It's tough, but hillarious. We came really close a lot though.

its great fun. i find its best to use a recurve as you don't always have time to come to a full draw or set your anchor point. the shooting is fast. and take lots of arrows. and don't expect to get a lot of rabbits.

I would rank bowhunting rabbits as the number one practice method for bowhunting! When I started my journey into bowhunting, I was introduced to rabbit hunting with bow and arrow by my friend and mentor. He explained to me that if one can consistently weave an arrow thru hazelnut brush and tag alders, hitting a whitetail thru such obstacles would be a cakewalk! Having a small target to hit causes you to focus much more especially if you have a one to two inch hole to hit it through! Hunting bunnies can also improve your still-hunting technique as well. They can be hunted with beagles or still-hunting either way is a blast!! I urge all of you to get out and give it a try. If you have any questions, let me know.
