Just got a garmin legend cx and am looking for suggestions to the best software to load up to it. i will be using it for fishing, i am leaning towars the lake master for all the inland lakes, but i fish lake erie and the detroit river the most and want a good program to load into my gps for there.

gonna be a meteorologist (weather guesser :lol: ) in a few years and you didn't get a GPS model with an altimiter/barometer? Shame on you!!

Actually, I can't help you much with lake mapping software (do all my fishing with guys that already have it) as all my units have the topo maps on them--I am mainly a land lubber.

I know there are a few choices for Garmin, and all I can tell you is to be sure the lake maps you want are part of the software.

I don't know about who's best, or what's the best, but I do know this. I got the Bluechart software version 8.5 up and running in my Legend Cx and so far, it rocks! Holy contour detail Batman!:woohoo1:
