If you enjoy looking at fossils or looking for a place to take the kids or grandkids, you might want to check out the Midland Center for the Arts. The display will be open until Nov. 3rd. The newspaper article said that many of the fossils are from roughly 350 million years ago when Mich. was covered by a shallow tropical ocean. www.mcfta.org/main.html
And just Monday the Mastodon became the offical fossil of Mich. About 250 of these guys have been found in southern Mich. They died out about 10,000 years ago.
