Hi all,

I have passed by Lake Tecon a million times off of C38 (mancelona Rd.) and have always wondered a few things: 1.) Is this lake open to the public at all? It looks friggin sweet! and 2.) if it is open to the public, is the fishing good at all? What IS the Lake Tecon Corporation? They have a big archway that opens into the property, but I didn't know if they allow anyone in. Thanks all; these questions have been eating away at me for a while now!

Thanks.

PS-Which lakes in the area are the best to try to ice fish?

I know the lake your asking about. I believe it's called something else but ??? It is a private lake and has no public access. Shoot me a pm with what type of fish you want to go after, and I'll try and point you in the right direction. I fish / have fished most of the lakes around the area and you would be surprised at the trophy potential of many of the lakes up here.

The Bible (DeLorme) calls it Lake Tecon, and yes it is a private lake.

I've wondered about that lake too. I think it's shallow and I have never seen anyone on it.

There are a number of good lakes in that general area.

Sunday I saw a few brave souls on Little Bradford.

I've never fished it but i do know the AuSable river starts there. Possibly
some trout have made their way up in there...??
